This blog is written for kids and teens interested in internet law. If you have a specific question about your situation, you should talk to your own lawyer. I know that is hard because kids don't usually have lawyers. That is why I am writing this blog, so you can get some information. The information on this blog should be interesting and fun to read, but it is not "legal advice." If you need legal advice, you need to talk personally to your own lawyer.
WHICH LAWS? On the blog, I will be writing mostly about U.S. law. In the U.S., there are federal laws that apply to all 50 states. The main federal law that applies to computers is the CFAA, the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. Each state also has laws, but I won't mention them so much.
UK (United Kingdom): If you are in other nations, particularly in the UK, please be aware that young people from those nations have been arrested for hacks or DDos attacks against U.S. computers. So the U.S. laws might affect you, even if you have never been here. In fact, you might just win a free trip to the U.S., but in the custody of the US Marshals Service. Also, keep in mind, the UK also has plenty of similar computer laws.
